NCARB Practice Exams are Increasing ARE Pass Rates

Over 75% of candidates have been using the free practice tests and those that do, are 15 percentage points more likely to pass the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) than candidates who don’t use the practice tests.

Rolling Clock Impact: Over 6,000 Exam Credit Reinstated! More than a year ago NCARB retired the five year rolling clock and in that time NCARB has reinstated over 6,000 ARE 5.0 exam credits. 3,000+ candidates were brought closer to their goal of becoming a licensed architect. If you received ARE 5.0 credits and not sure how to proceed with your path to licensure, feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

If you’re preparing to take the ARE be sure to use the latest version of the ARE 5.0 Guidelines.

The latest update (2/27/2024) includes

  • Retirement of quantitative-fill-in-the-blank questions

  • Updating building code references to the 2021 International Code Council family of codes

  • New data forensics protocols regarding exam security (the reason official score reports now take 7-10 business days).
